AGARTALA, May 14 (TIWN): Karnataka Poll result has washed out BJP from the entire South Tripura which may cause a big impact on the upcoming polls in India.
In Tripura also, opposition parties were quick to react to the defeat of BJP. Whereas Congress called it a defeat of BJP’s Divisive Politics, opposition CPI-M has said Modi magic did not work in Karnataka amid much efforts of BJP to win.
After the Karnataka Poll result was declared, Tripura CPI-M State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury congratulated Congress in Karnataka and mentioned, in Tripura also BJP was defeated but due to Vote-Divisions, the state could not get rid off BJP amid BJP’s significant drop of vote sharing.
Reacting to BJP’s defeat in Karnataka, Tripura CM Manik Saha said, 'Democracy exists and it's proven with Karnataka Poll. Without Democracy, how could Congress win the Poll?’
