AGARTALA, May 11 (TIWN): A group of thieves looted cash by breaking the Cash box. The incident took place at Kalpana Library and Varieties shop in Kadamtala Bazar under Kadamtala police station in North Tripura district.
According to the details of the incident, Sanjay Kanti Nath alias Shyamal the owner of Kalpana Library and Varieties shop, opened his shop on Thursday morning at around 10:30 am and he went to get water from a nearby water tank and within few minutes thieves looted cash amount from his cash box.
When he screamed, the nearby shopkeepers rushed to the spot and informed it to the Kadamtala PS. After receiving the news, the police rushed to the spot and started the investigation. Meanwhile, the owner of Kalpana Library and Varieties, Sanjay alias Shyamal, said that he went to fetch water from a water tank next to his shop and it took 10-15 minutes to return to the shop, and within few minutes the group of thieves broke his cash box and took Rs 20,000.
The owner expressed that he is unhappy with Police’s investigation,
Meanwhile, according to police sources, a case of theft has been taken and the investigation is ongoing after seeing CCTV footage of the market.
