AGARTALA, March 28 (TIWN): Tripura General Category B.Ed holders have demanded that the Govt should increase the age limitation for the job aspirants who belong to Unresevred Category (UR), so that they also can sit in TET exams till 45 years like SC and ST candidates. In this regard they have met the authority of the TRBT Dept, requesting him to look after the matter. Talking to media, a job aspirant said, “Many of us are nearing to be overage. It’s the high time that the Govt should think over the matter. Just like SC/ ST, we also demand our age limits should be increased and the Govt must allow us to sit in exams”. Due to slow recruitment, such problems have erupted. Earlier it was direct recruitment after TET pass but since 2018 the process has been slowed down and number of TET exams decreased, question papers have turned tough.
This has resulted in massive unemployment among B.Ed holders.
“We are from poor or middle-class families. We have earned the B.Ed after paying hefty fees and hardworks for two years. I hope Govt will look after our matter”, said the job aspirants.
