AGARTALA, March 24 (TIWN): The first session of the 13th Tripura Legislative Assembly began on Friday.
On this day protem Speaker Binay Bhushan Das opened the meeting.
First, the protem speaker announced the election of the speaker through voting. But in the beginning, members of the opposition Tipra Motha party walked out of the meeting, complaining that their seats were not correct.
Then the remaining members voted according to the schedule.
After the voting process, protem Speaker Binay Bhushan Das told the Assembly that there were 59 valid voters in the meeting. Among them, 46 people participated in the voting process. Out of this, 32 votes were obtained by the BJP speaker aspirant Bishwabandhu Sen and 14 votes by the opposition candidate Gopal Roy.
