Speaker Election: BJM MLA Biswabandhu Sen and Congress MLA Gopal Roy submitted nominations for Speaker Post

AGARTALA, March 23 (TIWN): Ruling BJP-IPFT and Opposition have submitted their nomination papers today as candidate for Speaker of the Legislative Assembly.
Gopal Roy submitted nomination papers for the opposition whereas Biswabandhu Sen submitted three nomination papers for the ruling parties BJP, IPFT.
A total of two candidates are contesting for the post of Speaker, said Tripura Assembly Secretary BP Karmakar.
Karmakar also said that the submission time was till 1 PM and then Scrutiny will be done for an hour and the nomination can be withdrawn within an hour.
The voting process will happen on Friday through Ballot Paper, said Tripura Assembly Secretary BP Karmakar.
