AGARTALA, March 21 (TIWN): For last few days, Agartala police have been briefing before media that theft racket has been busted and robbers are caught.
Even yesterday, one more person was arrested in this connection, but amid much broadcasting, in Battala which near to police headquarter, at least 9 small shops were looted.
Local businessmen expressed extreme resentment over the incident. They asked, if night patrolling happens properly how in the capital city’s heart such an incident can take place.
However, amid everyday theft incidents, according to Tripura police data only 22 theft cases happened in January 2023. February month’s data yet to be published.
