AGARTALA, March 19 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday announced that Govt of India has approved Rs. 2000. On being asked by media, CM said, “On behalf of Govt of Tripura I thank Prime Minister Modi for the approval. Surely, people of Tripura will be benefited due to the sanction. I want to add here that already 56% of water connectivity has been completed. Yesterday, I sat in a meeting in South District where I observed that many areas are deprived of water supplies facilities yet. With this fresh sanction, we can fulfill our 100% Mission”.

On a social media update, Saha announced, “Glad to share that the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti approved Rs 2000 cr for Tripura under Jal Jeevan Mission 2023-24. The fund is more than total Rs 1930 cr Tripura received in the last 3 years. I wholeheartedly thank Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi ji & Hon'ble Union Minister of Jal Shakti Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat ji for sanctioning the fund. This will ensure piped drinking water to more households.
