AGARTALA, March 4 (TIWN): Tripura BJP Govt’s oath-taking ceremony will be held on 8th March. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the program at Astabal stadium, informed BJP Party State President Rajib Bhattacharjee.
Tripura BJP has secured 32 Assembly seats out of 60 and its ally IPFT has got 1 seat.
Other opposition parties CPI-M got 11 seats, Congress 3 and Tipra Motha got 13 seats.
Both BJP and CPI-M’s vote shares have dropped drastically and Tipra Motha has emerged as the major opposition party in Tripura Assembly.
BJP and IPFT in 2018 got 44 seats which have dropped to 33. However, the opposition CPI-M also failed to elevate the number of seats whereas, in an alliance with the CPI-M, Congress got 3 seats which was zero in 2018 poll.
Tripura Election was held on February 16 and the result was declared on 2nd March.
Accepting the performance of BJP below the expected result, Rajib Bhattacharjee said, the party will highlight each factor and will find out where the party is lagging behind.
