AGARTALA, Feb 19 (TIWN): With the election ended, city police are back to their regular patrolling. Two were arrested with drugs by East Agartala PS Police on Friday night.

Addressing media, SDPO Ajay Kumar Das said, yesterday at around 9.30 pm, during police patrolling both of them were found with suspicious movements and accordingly police inquired them and found 310 containers and a heroin packet weights over 13 gram.

After the accused persons were arrested, at around 8 to 9 persons attempted to attack police and to take the arrested persons with them, but police have been succeeded to arrest these two persons.

The arrested persons are Pintu Mia, resident of Pratapgarh, Sohag Mia, near Ram Thakur Snagha in Agartala. Pintu Mia was found in an addicted condition and was taken to GB hospital, and he is hospitalized right now. Sohag Mia is being produced before the court today. Interrogation is underway.

Police said they will find out through interrogation who are the masterminds behind the drug network.
