UDAIPUR / AGARTALA, Feb 17 (TIWN): Many party workers, voters yesterday during the Assembly poll received serious injuries on Thursday.
One incident happened in Udaipur subdivision’s Salgarah where two persons were injured including CPI-M’s polling agent.
Asish Ganguli, one of the victims in Salgarah incident was referred to GB hospital. He was attacked when he was going to cast his vote in the early morning.
Opposition leader, former CM Manik Sarkar visited GB hospital and met the injured man Asish Ganguli.
Manik Sarkar told media that Asish Ganguli’s health is now stable according to Doctors’ statement.
