AGARTALA, Feb 14 (TIWN): Women Commission Chairperson Barnali Goswami was attacked by BJP workers in her own hometown Dharmanagar.

It was alleged that the BJP workers accused her of campaigning for the Congress after she did not get her ticket and attacked her in front of police.

Barnali Goswami broke down into tears over the incidents. She expressed grief that in the name of BJP, some hooligans are defaming the party.

Barnali Goswami also received threats from the BJP activists and was minorly injured in the incident.
