A 47-year-old CPI-M activist was attacked after joining CPI-M Rally

AGARTALA, Feb 13 (TIWN): Reportedly, a bike procession was taken out by the Left on Sunday evening ahead of the 2023 elections, and CPIM activist Deepak Das joined CPIM’s rally. But on the way to his shop from there, 20- 30 BJP workers of the ruling party severely beat Deepak Das with rods and woods.
Later, the family members of Deepak Das rescued Deepak Das in bloody condition and took him to Kalyanpur Hospital. After the incident, a case was filed at the Kalyanpur Police Station on behalf of the CPIM Kalyanpur Region Committee.
Besides, the CPIM workers surrounded the police station centering the deadly attack on CPIM activist. Although the police were not able to arrest or arrest anyone involved in the attack, said Deepak Das.
