AGARTALA, Feb 11 (TIWN): CPIM-Congress alliance candidate Ashok Debbarma visited Charilam at Chitrampara on Saturday. But miscreants attacked him, and vandalized his vehicle.

After the attack, injured Ashok Debbarma was taken to Bishramganj hospital. After the incident Ashok Debbarma confronted media said that those who attacked him, were probably not listed to cast votes.  

The attackers told to Ashok Debbarma that they were Tipra Motha Supporters and no one could enter the Village except Tipra Motha.

The attack incident has generated tension in the area.
