AGARTALA, Jan 23 (TIWN): Ahead of the Assembly Election, a gun loaded with bullets was recovered from PGP colony of 47 mile area under Mungiakami PS, Teliamura.

The incident has spread fear among local people. It is known that this evening, the forest department personnel lead a raid in a deep forest of the area to find the stolen wood traders. During the raid, the forest Department personnel found a domestic gun lying in an abandoned place.

Information was given to MungiaKami PS, immediately, a team led by the OC of Teliamura PS reached the spot and recovered the gun and brought it to the police station.

However, the police could not arrest anyone involved with that gun, but tension generated among the local public’s mind over the recovery of guns in the Atharomura hills.
