AGARTALA, Jan 8 (TIWN): Road constructions are under massive grips of corruptions in the BJP era, failing to fulfil pre-poll promise of making the state a Corruption Free state. Locals of Sabroom subdivision, Satchand R.D.Block protested against the pathetic condition of road and ongoing corruption in construction at the Surendra Sadhu Para ADC village to Premchandra Para route. Locals people were urging the Govt for a long to repair the road but the Govt did not take any action. Recently though the construction work has started but the questions raised over the quality of the construction.
The 700 meter road at the cost of 26 lakhs rupees left without any monitoring. Locals in protest, stopped the work and demanded the Govt to provide better quality road.
Before election 2028, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised a HIRA for the Tripura people but the HIRA is still far from showing a glimpse which can prove that Tripura has really developed under HIRA Model means 'H for Highways', 'I for I-Ways', 'R for Roadways' and 'A for Airways'.
