AGARTALA, January 17 (TIWN): With a view to organize culture programme at various venues on the eve of Republic day celebration in the State, a meeting was held in the conference hall of Directorate of information and cultural affairs with the press photographers to discuss about the coverage of various programmes of Republic Day, here today.
The meeting was chaired by Director of information and cultural affairs (ICA) S. Debbarma. The concerned Officers apprised the meeting that necessary arrangements are being made for presentation of cultural variety programmes at various locations in the State.
In the meeting it was decided that from this year no tablu can be designed by any school and no organization.
During the meeting it was also decided that one road will be open for VIPs and one route will be open for common public.
The final rehearsal of Republic Day celebration will be conducted on January 24 at Assam Rifles Ground.
