AGARTALA, Nov 26 (TIWN): Tripura Congress slammed BJP over hooliganism and mafia-raj in the state denouncing Chief Minister Manik Saha’s claim about “Law and Order condition are very good in Tripura now”.
Reacting to the violence that took place in Amtali, Congress leader Asish Saha said, “Chief Minister’s claim about Sushshan has no link with the reality. Who permits BJP goons to attack oppositions”? The statement was given before a deputation was placed to the DGP Tripura over the incident seeking arrests of the culprits who attacked Congress’s vehicles which were campaigning on “Bharat Joro” movement. At least 11 persons were injured in the incident.
Allegedly, BJP workers were carrying pistol looted money, mobile from the Congress activists in Amtali By-Pass area under Surjamani Nagar on Friday during Congress’s “Bharat Jodo campaigning”. According to the injured persons, the BJP goons were carrying guns with them and asked the vehicle to stop. Then the people inside the vehicle were attacked and beaten up. Then all cash, mobile phones were looted. The injured persons were hospitalized and given primary treatment.
