The fire department was immediately informed. On receiving information, a fire engine arrived at Haradhan Sangh and brought the fire under control.

Haradhan Sangh area was save from any major damage. Officials of the fire department said that the stairway behind the shop was completely blocked with shop goods, which made it very difficult for the fire department personnel to work.
