AGARTALA, Nov 24 (TIWN): Job seekers held a protest at Gorkha Basti, Agartala seeking jobs under MPW and ANM. However, a massive number of police personnel were deployed to stop the job aspirants from entering the office. The job seekers told media that over more than 5 years they are unemployed and the Govt has no concern to recruit them amid thousands of unemployed youths roaming jobless and vacant posts are existing without filling up. Many times they met the Health Director and other officials but no solution came out. The passed out candidates have tried to met the Chief Minister many times but could not get an appointment, Resented job aspirants displayed banners where they placed their demands on recruitment.
Not only MPW and ANM but Lab Assistants, nurses, Doctors are unemployed and deprived of regular jobs.
On the one hand, there is a massive shortage of staffs and on the other hand, the departments are reeling under heavy crisis in recruitment.
The job aspirants protested many times but for last 5 years the issue remained without solution.
