AGARTALA, Sep 21 (TIWN): Frequent Power cuts have disrupted the normal lives in Bamuti area and out of angst the local people gheraoed and locked out the workers and officials of Bamutia Power Division run by FEDCO under TSECL.

Later, huge police and TSR forces from Bamutia outpost and Lefunga PS were deployed at the spot to control the situation. Later, local MLA Krishnadhan Das, MLA of 3 Bamutia Assembly Constituency, reached the spot and released the lock of the power workers and FEDCO officials.

The BJP MLA Das also alleged the frequent Power cuts in the area. It is alleged due to frequent Power cuts damaged Photo Copy Machine of 3 local traders, allegation raised of damaging 2 TVs. In a day almost 20-25 Power goes and comes, allegedly.  

FEDCO Bamutia Divisional office was unlocked with a promise to fix electricity service in the area before Mahalaya.

However, it has now remained to be seen when the issue will be solved.
