TELIAMURA, Sep 19 (TIWN): Under sacked CM Biplab Deb, massive corruption took place for various constructions and in many constructions, outsider contractors had been benefited with the projects but the outcomes are not at all impressive. Biplab Deb himself was the PWD Minister and like other Depts, PWD Dept also came under corruption allegations.
A bridge that was completed before 3 months started collapsing in Teliamura. It is the Dashamighat-Baishgaria road’s main route, now left in deplorable shape, putting public lives at heavy risks.
Local people have demanded immediate reconstruction of the bridge and urgent repair. They said, since the beginning they were complaining about the poor quality of construction but no action had been taken by the concerned authority.
