Undeclared auto strike in Jogendranagar, drivers rioted in front of police, and passengers were forcibly dropped off

AGARTALA, Sep 14 (TIWN): Reportedly, an auto worker from Yogendranagar Sukanta Colony area was beaten up on Monday night. In view of this on Tuesday, all auto drivers stopped the movement of autos in the area adjacent to the Malayanagar Rail Bridge. The autos came to Malaynagar area with passengers detained, also dropped off the passengers.
The passengers faced harassment over an undeclared auto strike in Jogendranagar area.
Despite the drivers created a riot scene in front of police, the police stood and watched everything but did not take action, allegedly.
