AGARTALA, Sep 11 (TIWN): Doubt remains among TET qualifiers about over 3,600 TET qualifiers recruitment before the upcoming Durga puja, although State Govt Ministers have promised to do so. TET-qualified unemployed youths who met Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Saturday were told that he is ready to recruit all TET qualifiers together if receives permission from the State Finance Dept. Thus on Sunday TET qualifiers met Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarman at his residence as he is also the Finance Minister too. Hundreds of TET qualifiers today joined the movement and gathered before Deputy CM’s official residence.
Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarman has met the TET qualifiers and reportedly assured to take steps for everyone’s recruitment.
Talking to media, one of the TET-qualified unemployed youths said, “We are not against the Govt but we fought for our rights. We demand all TET qualifiers’ recruitment should be held together. Now after talking to the Deputy CM, we are hopeful that we will get jobs soon. We thank the State Govt for understanding our problems. We are hoping that they will keep their words”.
“In last few days, we faced police harassment and for that police are responsible. Due to our protest, if anyone had faced problems, we are sorry. We are really happy that both Education Minister and the Deputy CM have assured us about the recruitment of all TET qualifiers together”, said a job aspirant.
Tripura has over 3,600 TET-qualified unemployed youths and schools are running dry due to massive crisis of teachers.
Everyday, protests are being erupted in the state due to teachers’ crisis. After 10323 teachers’ termination, the crisis has taken a serious state.
