AGARTALA, Sep 10 (TIWN): Recently it was informed by job aspirants to the media that over 2,000 NET, SLET, and Qualified persons are unemployed in Tripura whereas only 36 Assistant professors were recruited under the BJP, canceling 182 ongoing recruitments under the previous Govt. NET, SLET, P.hd qualified unemployed youths told media that on 24th August Education Dept had advertised for recruitment allowing retired teachers in Assistant professor post. Condemning the decision, the Forum of NET, SLET, P.hd qualified youths said that when there are over 2000 qualified candidates why retired teachers will be posted?
Dr. Suman Nag, Secretary of the Forum told media that the PG Centres should be made for Kailshahar, Udaipur and Khumulwng-based colleges. Instead of MBB and Women’s colleges, new courses must be launched in the State University.
He further stated that there are 440 vacant posts and total of 2100 posts should be created to fill up the legacy, which means around 1600 new posts should be created.
