AGARTALA, August 26 (TIWN): A CPI-M leader named Bipad Hrishi Das was beaten up brutally by 40-50 BJP miscreants at Bypass area in front of Amtali PS in broad Daylight while returning home after attending a CPIM meeting.

After the incident the injured CPI-M leader was taken to GB Hospital and to meet with injured CPI-M worker CPI-M leaders rushed to GB Hospital. CPIM state leaders condemned the incident occurred in front of Amtali PS, besides also strongly condemned the Hooliganism act which have been carrying on CPIM workers after BJP came into power.

CPI-M state leader Pabitra Kar said, “We will see for how long they can beat us, and our fight will pause after defeating BJP”.

Over the incident occurred within few meters of Amtali PS, Kar stated that the Police do not log cases against the attackers, if the party workers are attacked.

Kar expressed extreme resentment against some Police officials and also strictly said that they will bring peace after fighting with the opposition BJP.
