AGARTALA, Aug 25 (TIWN): A truck loaded with logs overturned with 9 workers on Thursday evening. The incident took place in Kalabagan area of Shantinagar under Kalyanpur police station.

According to the details of the incident, on Thursday evening a car loaded with logs from a place in Kalabagan area of Shantinagar under Kalyanpur PS suddenly overturned and fell into a ditch on the way to its destination. Total 9 people including the driver were injured. These nine people were identified as Uttam Das (45); Nantu Biswas (38); Devendra Das (38); Subhash Sarkar (46); Subhash Sarkar (48); Sukumar Malakar (49); Debajyoti Sarkar (46); Ratan Sarkar (35); and Ranjit Sarkar (37).

After witnessing the incident, the eyewitnesses brought the injured to Teliyamura sub-district hospital. Later, out of the nine, Nantu Biswas (38) and Subhash Sarkar (48) were admitted to Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital and the rest were discharged after given primary treatment.

 However, the road accident in Kala Bagan area caused tension in the entire area.
