Along with West Bengal, Durga puja remains a very popular festival in Tripura too for years.

Tripura since the King’s era has various temples that were run earlier by the Royal family and now by the Govt of Tripura though the honor and rights of the Royal family has not at all decreased there.

Apart from temples, thousands of puja are being organized in pandals, households. Statewide, idol makers are now very busy with their preparation, making idols.

Due to Covid-19, Durga puja festival was affected since 2018 but this year the business is expected to be expanded due to the puja.
