AGARTALA, July 18 (TIWN): All India Bank Officers Confederation (AIBOC) on Monday announced to launch a movement against the privatization of Banks.
Addressing media, in a press meet, an AIBOC member said, “Tomorrow is the Bank Nationalization Day. The 19th July is a very important date. We have seen the Indian Govt trying to privatize the banks and it was placed before the Parliament and it will be brought again in the Parliament. We oppose this”.
The committee has announced to launch a protest against it state-wide as a part of a nationwide protest.
On Tuesday, protests will be organized in Agartala and a rally will march across Agartala city.
On 20th July the protest will be conducted in Sadars of Sepahijala, South and Gomati Districts.
On 21st July Khowai, Teliamura Jirania subdivisions protests to be held in protest against privatization of Banks for the welfare of 10 lakhs Bank employees of India.
