AGARTALA, July 18 (TIWN): Dead Body of a housewife was found hanging which triggered heavy tension in Maylakhala area in Agartala.

A housewife named Sahana Begum got married 20 years back to Bhutan Mia of the Mylakhala area. Soon after the marriage the husband allegedly started torturing the housewife physically and mentally, alleged the woman’s family. After few years she gave birth to a son and the housewife’s family fulfilled all husband’s demand by providing dowry but then also the limit of torture did not reduce.

Later, on Monday housewife Sahana Begum’s hanging body recovered from the bathroom. The woman’s family alleged that she was hanged after being killed. The deceased's family members also raised allegations against in-laws, other family members for torturing her. Deceased’s family alleged that the husband Bhulan Mia wanted to re-marry and that’s why he killed his wife. 

Centering this, a heavy panic situation erupted in the area.

Later, on receiving information the Police forces rushed to the incident spot. Deceased's body was sent for post mortem.
