AGARTALA, July 18 (TIWN): Teachers' crisis hit Tripura Schools amid over 3600 TET qualified youths are roaming jobless, resulting, school students have been protesting and blocking roads demanding teachers in various sub-divisions and oppositely the TET qualified teachers several times had gheraoed Education Minister’s residence demanding recruitment.
To solve the teachers' crisis issue on Monday 4 leftist organizations SFI, DYFI, TYF and TSU cordoned the Education Department demanding to recruit Teachers to reduce the Teachers' crisis in Schools.
A youth leader said that the Teacher crisis in Govt Schools has paralyzed the system, as there is no adequate number of teachers in Schools. Many hundreds of Schools are running with one teacher and an anarchical situation has been created in the Education System.
The Youth leader further said, “In our state, a total 3631 TET youths have qualified TET and if the Education Department wants then easily can recruit them all at a time and can send them to School. But the Education Department and Govt will recruit only 600 Candidates by providing Recruitment certificates, and the remaining candidates have to wait for next recruitment”.
The students are demanding teachers, protesting on road and ruling party BJP leaders removing their blockade by threatening the students.
The 4 leftist organizations demanded to recruit an adequate number of teachers in Govt schools by providing Recruitment certificates to 3631 TET qualified candidates to reduce the teacher crisis.
