AGARTALA, July 10 (TIWN): Kumar Alok was removed from Chief Secretary post on Saturday by new Chief Minister Manik Saha.
There are many reasons behind the removal but one of the reasons which was added to the decision was he skipped the swearing-in ceremony of the Chief Minister. It was alleged that intentionally Kumar Alok with many other officers left for North Tripura on that time.
In last 4.5 years, Tripura Govt has changed its Chief Secretary for the 6th time.
Kumar Alok during Biplab Deb’s CM tenure played a major role in Biplab Deb’s side which created massive division in BJP led former BJP Minister Sudip Roy Barman to call him a black-sheep in the administration. It was also alleged in public that once Mebar Jamatia asked Kumar Alok to help him with a matter and in reply, Kumar Alok asked him to come to his chamber as he can't go to the Minister's chamber. Also, in all the corruption took place under Biplab Deb, Kumar Alok was involved as without his involvement it was impossible for Biplab Deb to continue corruption.
