SANTIR BAZAR, March 30 (TIWN): Heavy discrimination has been alleged by poor people in Santir Bazar who are deprived of receiving MGNREGA works, pending wages because of supporting Tipra Motha party. In protest, public locked the Village Committee office / Block Office at Patichari, Santir Bazar. Talking to media, agitators said, “Tipra Motha workers are not given works whereas BJP workers, without working drawing moneys regularly. We got our last work four months back but that payment was not also done but on the other hand, BJP members are getting MGNREGA mandays without works. We will not withdraw the protest unless SDM comes”.
Such allegations however are not new against the Govt. Earlier, other opposition parties also raised the same allegation.
On the other hand, Tipra Motha protested against arrest of a party worker in Mandai in connection to BJP office burning and gheraoed the police station.
