AGARTALA, March 21 (TIWN): TPF leader Patal Kanya Jamatia’s joining in BJP party instead of the alliance has been analyzed as the crisis in the TPF party with all members are now moving towards Tipra Motha party, which is now the ruling party in Tripura ADC. Patal Kanya was displayed by BJP as a popular leader and most likely to turn BJP’s face in the 2023 poll but doubt prevails how far she will be capable to come out as an efficient leader. Reacting to her joining in BJP, Tipra Motha chief Pradyot Manikya has announced that BJP has shut its all doors for alliance in 2023 poll, and now Tipra Motha will fight in 35 seats.
The TPF leader had come into the limelight in 2018 after filing a petition in Supreme Court demanding NRC in Tripura and deportation of all illegal immigrants including Tripura’s incumbent BJP Chief Minister Biplab Deb whom she called an “Illegal Bangladeshi”. But after joining BJP she did not mention about NRC issue, rather she hailed BJP’s “Ek Tripura, Shreshtha Tripura”. She also said that BJP is the most disciplined party in India.
