Ambassa, March 17 (TIWN): A 28 years old young man was injured in Ambassa in a gunshot. The young man was shot while he was hunting in the forest of Distram Para under Harimangal Village Committee on Thursday morning. According to the details of the incident, 28-year-old Bishiram Reang of Prakaraya Para under Ambassa Police Station went out for hunting in the forest of Distram Para under Harimangal Village Committee.
It is unclear who shot at him. However, it was an attempt of murder as the gun hit on the face of the man. He was immediately brought to Dhalai District Hospital. Seeing his condition deteriorating from Dhalai District Hospital, he was shifted to Agartala GB Hospital.
This is not an isolated incident as similar many incidents took place earlier also. Govt has failed to curb the increasing illegal arms. In the ruling BJP party’s rally back in 2021 a man was seen carrying a pistol in his pocket, though no action was taken against him.
