AGARTALA, March 15 (TIWN): A TMC supporter identified as Raj Mangal Barman's house in Amarpur, Chelagang area set on fire by miscreants.

The miscreants also had beaten up his son Rajib Barman.

After receiving the news, TMC members met with the affected family and compensated Rs 50, 000 to the family.

Condemning this act Subal Bhowmik said that since the BJP govt was formed only destructions have been going on. He also said that Police administration played a silent role. Oppositely pressure has been allegedly generated on the victim family so that the Police cannot register FIR against them.

However, case will be registered at PS against the miscreants seeking exemplary punishment, said Bhowmik.
