AGARTALA, March 15 (TIWN): Terminated 10323 teachers who gathered to meet CM Biplab Deb on Monday, could not meet the CM yet. Police’s lathi-charge and arrests of over 300 terminated teachers led some of the terminated teachers under ‘Joint Movement Committee’ to continue demonstration the whole night at Circuit House. But at around night 12 O’Clock, some miscreants in intoxicated condition allegedly had attacked the 10323 teachers. Then a set of bike gangs allegedly raised the ‘Bharat Mata Ki Joy’ slogan and continued to harass the agitators who were waiting for 14 hours to meet the CM.
Later police expanded the protection and checked for the miscreants, though nobody could be traced.
JMC member Kamal Deb said that the Police DGP should ensure safety to the 10323 teachers till the protest will continue.
