AGARTALA, March 13 (TIWN): Central Govt is in a moment, handing over all Govt organisations to Private sector, Banking sector also falls among it. Protesting against the ‘Privatisation of Bank’ the Bank employees Federation supported the strike which will be held on 28th and 29th March.
The bank employees demanded that the banking sector should not be privatized, the Govt has to take responsibility for bank deposits and services. Bank charges should not be increased, the interest rate should not be increased. Agriculture, small and medium industries, business loans should be increased. New pension scheme must be cancelled, the new labour code must be cancelled, Agriculture and debt must be forgiven, Recruitment of employees in state-owned banks should not be reduced. Bank branches and administrative offices should not be closed, Loaning of unemployed youth should be expedited. All vacancies must be filled, Criminal law should be enforced against large debt defaulters.
Jahar Dey, General Secretary of Bank employees Federation said that 100% bank employees will support this strike and on 23rd and 245th Protest movement against this ‘Privatization’ will be demonstrated before TRTC and in front of UCO bank, Agartala.
