AGARTALA, March 13 (TIWN): Increasing theft incidents in the state raising question over the law and order. After public’s houses now the thieves are looting temples in various areas. Thieves looted the Donation box from the temple by breaking the lock and the theft incident occurred at Shiv temple Ward-11 in Shantir Bazar Municipal Council. The theft incident came to notice on Sunday morning by the priest when he came to the temple this morning for Puja. It is known in last year, about Rs 18,000 was counted in this Donation Box and now estimated Rs 20,000 or above would be there inside the box.

The theft incident triggered tension in the entire area.

However, the theft incident was reported to local PS. Now, it remains to be seen what initiative the Police will take to arrest the thieves.
