KUMARGHAT, March 1 (TIWN): Congress party claimed over three thousand voters from seven-hundred-fifty families have joined the party from BJP in Kumarghat on Monday.

A meeting was organized in Kumarghat in the presence of Congress leaders.

Congress State President Birjit Sinha welcomed the party members by handing over flags to them.

State-wide, with Sudip Roy Barman and Asish Saha’s joining in Congress, BJP party workers are returning to Congress party as Tripura BJP’s base is former Congress workers and leaders.

National Congress claimed in coming days, many more leaders will join the party leaving BJP.
