AGARTALA, Feb 27 (TIWN): Centering the BJP-Congress clash on Saturday, Police detained 8 Congress workers Radheswam Saha, Tirtha Saha, Rajat Saha, Mithun Das, Sahajan Aslam, Ankita Saha, Malabika Podder. But the Police have not arrested a single BJP worker despite the BJP workers were seen pelting stones at Congress Bhawan before the Police Station.

Over the double role of Police, resigned BJP MLA Asish Saha condemned the Police role and said, “Congress workers to resist themselves from Bike gang goons when they appealed to state people, and people at various areas came on roads to resist. But the way Police Administration should have to play the role, they restrained themselves from playing their role. The incident happened yesterday, despite deploying enough Police, their role was inactive". 

“In the case of arrests, the Police took one-sided biased action”, said Saha.

Saha raised allegations that BJP was fully behind yesterday’s incident and the Congress Bhawan attack happened under the leadership of BJP’s State and Central Ministers.
