AGARTALA, Feb 8 (TIWN): Judiciary has upheld Women’s Rights. Tripura High Court today ruled that married daughters who relied on their deceased fathers for livelihood are now eligible for the Die in Harness jobs.
High Court lawyer Purushottam Roy Barman while briefing said that earlier, various cases were filed on this matter in Indian Courts, and then it was in the rule that married women will get die-in-harness jobs if they are eligible as per the economic condition. Referring to those cases and verdicts, Tripura High Court former Chief Justice A Kurshi also gave the verdict that women can be eligible for die-in-harness even after marriage.
But Tripura Govt filed 5 writ petitions against the verdict of A Kureshi and today finally the Court has dismissed the plea of the Govt, upholding the women’s right to get jobs even after marriage under die-in-harness.
