AGARTALA, Feb 6 (TIWN): BSF Troops in relentless Anti-Smuggling Operations against trans-border smugglers are also foiling “New Modus Operandi” of Smugglers on Indo-Bangladesh International Border in the State of Tripura. Today, on specific intelligence input regarding smuggling of huge amount of Bangladeshi Currency, troops of BOP NC Nagar, Ex-133 Bn BSF, Gokulnagar busted a new modus operandi of trans-border smugglers and successfully recovered Bangladeshi amounting to 9,97,000/- Taka, which was clandestinely hidden in Bicycle Tyre.
Smuggling with Bangladesh is nothing new in the state and no matter how many times the Govt says the smuggling has reduced, ground reality declares different scenario.
The bicycle was seized by the BSF and the huge amount of Bangladesh currency around Rs 10 lakh was recovered.
