AGARTALA, Jan 9 (TIWN): A day after PM Modi held a rally in Tripura, former CM Manik Sarkar slammed the BJP and PM Modi over fake propaganda of development. “One truck pineapple was sent abroad and the PM claimed it was developed? Farmers lost their crops in the rain. Has the PM any idea about Tripura farmers’ difficulties ?”, asked Manik Sarkar. The former Chief Minister has asked Prime Minister Modi not to assume the people of Tripura are fools. Manik Sarkar targeted PM Modi after Modi alleged Manik Sarkar’s Govt was a ‘Corrupt’ Govt.
“If you think people of Tripura are fools, you are wrong. PM talking about bamboo crafts. Is it new in Tripura? Why baseless new stories were made by the PM ?”, asked Manik Sarkar.
“PM was talking about brooms but is it a new industry? Does the PM have any idea how the industry was developed? People make them with hard work after collecting materials from forests. Now, due to the terrible economic situation, the poor people are unable to sell their brooms in the markets”, added Sarkar.
