AGARTALA, Jan 7 (TIWN): Mujibur Islam started his political career with Sudip Roy Barman and since then Mujibur played a vital role in building the youth Congress, shed blood several times. He was brutally murdered by BJP in a deadly attack on August 28, 2021. BJP workers entering his home attacked Mujibar Islam's family and Bengal Youth leader Subhankar Debnath was also injured in the incident but Mujibar Islam had never recovered.

However, except MLA Sudip Roy Barman and Asish Saha, today no leaders from the congress background could be seen to pay tribute to the departed soul. 

 While visiting Mujibur's family, Barman demanded section 302 of the IPC should be added to the FIR.

TMC party has alleged, the attack was pre-planned and BJP bike-gang is behind the barbaric murder.
