AGARTALA, Dec 25 (TIWN): Tripura Medical College (TMC) Doctor Subhajit Dhar has been sent to jail till 3rd January after he met with a terrible accident at CM’s quarter wall and allegedly attempted to ride over the police officials who were signaling him to stop the car. The car was without any number plate. TMC Doctor Subhajit Dhar was detained after he hit a wall at CM's residence when CM was on his regular evening walk. The Doctor was in a drunk state, lost control of driving.

Govt lawyer Bidyut Sutradhar said it will be kept in focus that the Doctor is sentenced to strict punishment because when a person is holding a big position, duty of him/her increases as a citizen. The lawyer also cited Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s case, which turned into a big incident because of the reputation of the accused person, who had driven irresponsibly.
