AGARTALA, Dec 24 (TIWN): TSECL’s ghostly bills erupt resentment, tension among the consumers. The state has been witnessing a peculiar billing system and bizarre amounts of bills served by TSECL for the last few months.
Such an incident has been witnessed in Charilam, Old Market. Subham Saha, the shop-keeper said usually the bill remains at around Rs. 160 to Rs. 160 but in the last two months, he was served with Rs. 13000 and Rs. 14000.
However, later when he rushed to the office, the manager of the TSECL branch rectified it.
This is not the first time but recently a businessman who just uses 2 bulbs got Rs. 85,000 bill in Bishagarh.
