AGARTALA, Dec 9 (TIWN): Although as opposition leader, before 2018 Assembly Election, Tripura CM Biplab Deb had been criticizing the then Left Govt for low-employment, today amid massive terminations including 10323 teachers Biplab Deb as CM has said Tripura’s employment is too much in comparison to other states. "Which company has that many of Govt employees? Our population is nearly 40 lakhs and employees are 2 Lakhs !", said CM Biplab Deb. He further advised the Govt Employees to work for nation-building instead of only their own stomach. However, if checked, numbers of employment are almost nil in contrast with the vacancies, every year retirement, termination records but CM said, Tripura’s employment is over 2 lakhs which is rarest in the nation.
BJP before the 2018 election promised to fill up 50,000 vacant posts of the Left Govt’s time within 1 year of his Govt formation. Hardly, five thousand of permanent recruitment was done and no vacancy was filled up which could be marked under claimed 50,000 posts.
