AGARTALA / BISHALGARH, Dec 7 (TIWN): Domestic torture on women is existing as a curse in society. In another tragic incident, a housewife has ended her life by committing suicide amid huge mental tortures were done on her by her husband and in-laws.

The woman named Priyanka Sarkar (22), W/O-Rakesh Datta had attempted to commit suicide yesterday by setting fire on her own body and today she has died.

Since her death, nobody has come from her in-law’s home.

The family will lodge a case against the deceased’s family for mentally and physically torturing her.

She was always provided with very little food in her in-law’s home. She was treated as untouchable in her family and was pushed to kill her baby before birth.
