AGARTALA, Dec 1 (TIWN): Students of Ramakrishna College in Kailashahar demanding College Poll gheraoed the Principal's room for two long hours.

The students demanding to hold elections in Ramakrishna College immediately gheraoed Principal’s room as they are facing multiple problems because there is no elected representative.

The students earlier too handed over a memorandum to the Principal demanding immediate election and the memorandum was referred to the Higher authorities. However, the authorities did not give any response in this regard. Getting no response students were forced to gherao the principal for two long hours on Wednesday 1st December to organise College Election

Dr. Pinaki Pal, Principal of Ramakrishna College before the media said that the authority of College has no connection with this Election and the decision is always taken by the Department of Higher Education. He also said that there is no issue if the Department of Higher Education decides to organise College Poll.
