AGARTALA, Dec 1 (TIWN) : Getting minimum services in Hospitals has become daydream in recent Days. Unkoti District Hospital which is located in Bhagwan Nagar area of Kailashahar is reeling under various problems for a long time.

When the Health Department official, Dr. Anirban Hore visited to inspect Hospital, Patient party before the media claimed that inedible cooked food is provided daily. Also a shortage of drinking water was reported. Not only that the condition of toilets and bathrooms inside the hospital have become unusable for several years due to lack of renovation. The hospital is not being cleaned on regular basis. 

The superintendent of the district hospital, Dr. Soumendra Debabarma said that despite several written and verbal requests to the high-ranking officials, including the head of the Health Department, the Department is not taking any effective action. The local people of the entire Unkoti district are angst centering the untidy state of District Hospital.

Reportedly, various Political parties and social organizations including various clubs placed deputation to the District Chief Health Officer and state health department officials but no steps were taken to fix all those issues.

Today, the Hospital staff since morning started cleaning the Hospital and started sanitizing in all rooms after getting information of visiting the State Health Department Official Dr Anirban Hore to the Hospital with other Officials. On visiting the District Hospital the patient parties gheraoed Dr Hore and raised complaints against the worst condition of the Hospital. Though, the officials assured the patient party that everything will be repaired.
